The Usbourne Mini Astronaut’s Handbook
Uncategorised / 27th April 2015

Title: The Usbourne Mini Astronaut’s Handbook Author: Louie Stowell It was a good information book. It taught me all about how to be an astronaut for example, how life is on the ISS (International Space Station). Did you know that to be an astronaut you need to be: a generally healthy person; bright and hardworking; friendly and fine in small spaces? I won’t be a good astronaut because I need to be comfy and can’t live in small spaces! I can’t wait for the official book to come out. Alexander   I like the footnotes that give you little snippets of information which will be more detailed in the real book, e.g. how they pee and poo! Also, I like the colourful illustrations. We give the book 10/10. Daniel

Pinocchio
Uncategorised / 18th January 2015

Title: Pinocchio Author: Michael Morpurgo Have you ever read Pinocchio? We bet it wasn’t written in Pinocchio’s eyes! If you haven’t read Pinocchio we will tell you all about him. First of all, Pinocchio is a puppet, actually, the most famous puppet in the world! Also Pinocchio is more than just some cherry wood and string; he is ALIVE but he is often stupid, very stupid! At one point in the story he is so stupid that he gets robbed by a blind cat and a fox! He was made by Gepetto because he’s darling wife wanted a child. After he was made, his darling wife was full of happiness. Pinocchio does what he wants and never thinks about the consequences. Pinocchio jumps from the frying pan into the fire and is always in danger. Pinocchio is always naughty like when he ran away to the circus and he sold his ABC books that Gepetto bought him! We aren’t going to tell you anymore about Pinocchio as you will have to read the book to find out the story. Alexander’s favourite character is the blind cat because he always repeats what the lame fox says and Daniel’s favourite character is…

Animation Studio
Uncategorised / 16th September 2013

Title: Animation Studio Author: Helen Piercy This is a really cool set. We really enjoyed it and it was lots of fun! First we made up the story, then we got the scenes ready and then our adult helper started to take the photos while we slowly moved the characters. When we had the photos, we used some animation software, which you can download from the Internet and our adult helper put it all together for us. We then recorded our voices on a mobile phone and added them to the software. It was so much fun that we think we will be making another one very soon! We would give it 100 stars because it is so good. P.S. You might need an adult to help you with the animation. From a parent’s point of view – this is a great animation set for children as it contains lots of ideas and scenes that you can choose from. You need to have some I.T. knowledge to be able to put the photos together using animation software that you can download from the Internet, as it doesn’t come with this set. Great family activity for a rainy day! Highly recommend…
