Although John Smith has a boring name, he’s not boring. His mum says he’s 1,000,000 John Smiths. In the book John has to face Captain Black on the Monstrous Curse which is Captain Black’s Ship and Captain Black is the grisliest pirate on the seas.
This is how the story starts:
Granddad lost his dentures and asks John to help him find them. Then when he finds the teeth he returns them but he also finds a chest with things like hats, swords, wigs, boots and gloves and lots more!
This is where the pirate adventure begins.
Does he walk the plank?
Does he get eaten by sharks?
You’ll have to read the book to find out!

I recommend it to 6+ Early Readers. Next I would like to read Sheriff John the (partly) Wild.
